Celebrate & Connect At This Year’s G Day For Girls

The tween years (ages 10-12) can be an awkward stage for young girls. They’re no longer little girls, but they’re not yet teens. They become more self aware, body conscious, and emotional. They start to rely on their friends more than their family, and the importance of strengthening that parent-child bond becomes more important that ever as they enter their next phase of development.

Thankfully, tween girls have access to some great confidence-building programs here in BC, such as Sole Girls – empowerment and confidence building programs through physical activity and mentorship, and Girls With Grit – workshops promoting soul resilience and brain health through yoga and mindful meditation.

G Day

Hear from the founders of these empowering programs, as well as other inspiring presenters at this year’s G Day – an event that focuses on similar messaging, but includes parents in a day of celebration and connection. Through G Day, tween girls can boost self-esteem, and strengthen peer and parent relationships through facilitated intergenerational conversations and activities that are designed to bond parents and their tween girls, and celebrate the changes to come while celebrating with a likeminded community.

G Day

G Day is a fun, unique experiential learning experience that includes parents and other supportive adults in girls’ lives that nurtures the development of positive self-esteem, peer and family relationships in a community context.
