Halloween may be weeks away, but it’s never too early to celebrate with a visit to these frightfully fun festivities happening in and around Vancouver this month! From a terrifying train ride through the dark forest, to a spine-tingling spook at Vancouver’s creepiest haunt, there’s a spooktacular Halloween event for boos and ghouls of all ages. Here are just 5 of the Halloween events to check out in the city with your kids.
Spook Your Little Monsters: Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train
The Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train is an annual Halloween tradition for many families who are looking to add a little spook to their fall festivities. Hop on a train and follow Jack on his journey through the dark forest, where he comes across creepy characters and discovers a magical world. Then wrap up your visit with a walk through the haunted maze, enjoy crafts and movies, and fuel up at one of the on-site food vendors.

Terrify Your Teens: Fright Nights at the PNE
This event isn’t for the faint of heart – even the images on the Fright Nights website will give you nightmares! Featuring 8 freaky haunted houses (such as the new Bloodshed haunted house), and including 20 rides to experience, as well as nightly shows from Guinness World Record holders Monsters of Schlock, this is sure to be the scariest event you attend this Halloween.

Freak Out Your Family: Potter’s House of Horrors
Not your ordinary haunt, the Potter’s House of Horrors features two super creepy haunted houses for the freak seekers, and Lil’ Haunters, a pair of haunted houses that are more cute than creepy for children 12 and under. The site also features an escape room, and a special family hour that offers a tamer version of the terrifying offerings.

Boogie With Your Babes: The Great Big Boo
Musical theatre meets trick-or-treating in this spectacular, non-scary show for kids! Join Zoe and Justin as they sing and dance their way through Boo Alley! Along the way, they’ll meet wacky, larger-than-life characters and embark on a quest to save Halloween. Coming to a Cineplex theatre near you, this musical show is the ultimate family-friendly Halloween experience for little ones.
